FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

If the answer you need is not here, WhatsApp is the fastest way to get one.

Do I need to book?

No, but you should. Walk-ins are welcome and often possible, though availability is limited at peak hours. Booking is through SevenRooms or by calling the house.

Is Himitsu a separate booking?

Yes. Himitsu runs its own seatings, at 18:00 and 20:00 from Wednesday to Saturday, on its own reservation link. A table at Alba does not carry over.

Do I need a reservation for Nomikai?

Nomikai is the ground-floor pub and is built for walking in. For a larger group, message the house first.

What are the opening hours?

Monday to Thursday 16:00–00:00, Friday 16:00–01:00, Saturday 12:00–01:00 and Sunday 12:00–00:00. Himitsu opens Wednesday to Saturday only.

Is there a dress code?

Smart casual. No beachwear or sportswear.

Where do I park?

Valet is complimentary for guests and works from the Dubai Opera drop-off point. Dubai Opera Plaza and Dubai Mall both have public parking nearby.

Are there vegetarian and vegan dishes?

Yes, across the menu — the shiso salad, the yasai roll, the veggie bibimbap, the tofu from the robata and the grilled aubergine among them.

Do you deliver?

Through Deliveroo, Talabat and Careem only. You order from the same à la carte menu on the apps.

Can children come?

Families are welcome in the dining room and at Nomikai.

Can you host a private event?

Yes. Himitsu takes up to 25 guests, the mezzanine up to 100, and the whole building up to 150. Menus start at AED 175 a head with no minimum spend.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary for guests.
